EP Review/ Ambient : David Buchs’ ‘Letting Go’

David Buchs is a composer and producer who crafts meaningful music spheres. To him, emotions, concepts, ideas, and themes have fluid roles, dynamics, and planes to them. And he strives to capture the momentous evolutions, their profound value, and their overarching presence. His latest release is ‘Letting Go’, a three track EP that, by creating an atmosphere of open skies, lightness, and expansive beauty, forges relaxing and reflective themes.

The title track introduces the EP. Each orchestral frame , featuring cello and electronic elements, catalogs the process of slowly releasing, of the simultaneous space that is created, the gaining of wisdom, the human realization. All of it just unravels, so extraordinarily immersive. It has a meditative quality to it. So you’ll feel that deep connection and presence as you sway out of it.

‘The Spirit Within’ creates an internal world. With falling melodies, floating worlds of sound, it explores the inner workings of the mind, the spaces contained within the body and the emotions residing, sleeping inside us all. With slow swells of melody, the artist rouses them awake, patiently, nurturing them, and moving them to the plane of awareness. It is so beautifully ambient and calming.

‘Remaining in My Love’ has an understated grandeur to it. With incredible moments of grace, epiphanic peaks, and grounding values, you feel tethered to something meaningful, something important. There is purpose, melancholy, serene joy, and a deep sense of peace. Listen Now!

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
