Song Review/Alt Rock : Fringe Frontier’s ‘18’

Fringe Frontier, as their name suggests is an alt rock band whose sound forms on the fringes. There is no commitment to any one style or vision. It’s all passion, exploration, creative tom foolery. And it all transfers readily to the listener and carries positively into the listening experience. They celebrate garage rock, americana, punk, and rock n roll with modern manifestations of them. Contrasting contemporariness like shoegaze and indie rock flesh out the iconic essence of the classic styles.

Their latest release is ‘18’, a number that has many transitioning properties, both stylistically and thematically. The track captures an edgy, angsty sonic state, polished with smoother floats of contemplative rhythms and unique melodic loops. Coarse riffs flow into melodramatic vocals. Rustic instrumentals rise to meet the inflating cast of modern indie rock. Lot of dual ideas finding enjoyable harmony, that correlates to the joys, dilemmas, excitement, and theatrics of coming of age, especially in this modern world. Listen Now!
