Song Review/Alt-Rock : For You Brother’s ‘Rock My World’

For You Brother’s rock has quite the edge of it. It’s alt rock at its best, with plugging grooves, glistening basslines, and bolstering beats. It has that 90s progressive ethos to it that keeps on keeping on. Their sophomore single is ‘Rock My World’, a moody, sultry, seductive rock daze that is washed in mountainous basslines and rock n roll drives. The riffs are fuzzy and atmospheric, playing into the angst of the vocals. It is like a fast breeze blowing into your ears before it swirls and consumes the space around you.

The protagonist explores the mind blowing element of his lover, one that he has become addicted and desperate for. And that element, passionate and irrevocable flares up across the composition. The bass floors are slathered with smooth guitar licks, mosaic and ever-changing. So many new and exciting ideas, with rap frames, and anthemic choruses. It’s a riot! Listen Now!
