Song Review/ Singer-Songwriter : Jonathan Paaso’s ‘Anhelo’

Jonathan Paaso is a Finnish singer-songwriter and artist with a vivid style and a passionate flow. Dedicated to making music about life, God, and hope, his soundscapes are given a depth that draw from infinities associated with these themes. These spaces, as a result, are filled up with something so powerfully and compellingly human. His latest release is ‘Anhelo’ (translated to English : longing or yearning). A contemporary pop rock, fringed with neo-classicals and acoustics.

We see cultural stylistic moments and influences driving the soundscape. It mostly manifests in the vocals, transferring the energy and emotion to the minimalistic webs of instrumentals laid out in the backdrop. And with progressions, it rises into a harmonious crescendo that is grand and liberating. And even if you don’t understand the language, the emotion carries far into you, forging a connection, building an emotion that will remain with you like a treasured memory. Listen Now!
