Polyvoda’s Evolving Post-Rock Structures in ‘Bonfire’ are Spectacular

POLYVODA is an experimental and exploratory outfit hailing from the Ukraine. The trio bank on concept, feeding it with an evolving ambience to distill a sublime thematic gradient. In this latest single, titled ‘Bonfire’, they infuse post rock textures into funk structures and neo-soul vocals. Using trap beats, they score the soundscape to unravel expansively.

The track is cued in with tinsel synths and splintering beats and gradually evolves into funk pop and hip-hop frames. Reminiscent of Tame Impala, Pond, and SZA, the track features fantastic transitions, psychedelic sensibilities, and cerebral grooves. Listen Now!

Polyvoda is Instrumentalists Denis Levchenko (bass), Kyrylo Chykhradze (keys), and Mykhailo Birchenko (drums). Formed in 2022, they debuted with ‘Never Ending’, a colorful mellow anthem bound in a dream. They have since released ‘Sirens’ , an enticing lo-fi hip-hop track.
