LunaRover’s ‘Chimera’ : A Dream Pop Mirage Drift

LunaRover is an indie band with ideas that flow from a dream world. Imagine a sphere, shimmering with synths, powered by mellow basslines, and so texturally smooth that you don’t know where it ends and you begin. It is the banner of composers and producers, Kevin Rieth and Ben Pelletier. And with the debut single, ‘Chimera’, they introduce a new brand of sonics as they combine 80s dream pop with a beguiling contemporary vocal swirl.

The song is composed to suit the quality of the theme. Capturing the evasiveness of it, casting it as a fantasy, they craft a soft, lithe, smooth, and colored daze. The soundscape is slathered soft basslines, humming and spreading into the synth horizon. Alternative elements like sax frames and cinematic details elevate the chimera. Within the reality of surreal vocal hyperboles, the mirage-like basslines, and synth dreams, they incept a blooming sci-fi consciousness. And it is incredible! Listen Now!
