Karen Salicath Jamali Astounds in Latest Album, ‘Dreams of Angels’

Karen Salicath Jamali is a composer and pianist who transfers not just music but a mind, a heart, and an emotion to the listener. Her work is marked by thought, devotion, contemplation, creativity and other infinities like that. Imagine listening to a track and feeling its every melody, its moods and its live essence. That’s the experience of her music. Her latest release is ‘Dreams of Angels’, a fantastical collection of tracks that explores themes with mystical, spiritual, and supernatural aspects. Casting them in the context of divinity and angels, she demonstrates them as part of the ethereal, a magnificent force that carries into fantasy and grandeur.

‘ArchAngel Metraton (The Angel of Life)’ introduces the album with its slow, mellow exploration style. It is light and airy with gentle moments of sentiments passing through it like colored film. The best way to experience this collection is to perceive movement, dalliance, and energy in the melodic framework. And flow with it. Soon, you’ll start to feel it coalesce into a sentiment, an idea, a concept.

‘Angel Gabriel (The Angel of Water)’ and ‘Angel Gabriels Heart’ are two very mellow and elegant pieces that have a fluid design. The artist’s authenticity manifests in the candor of her compositions and play. There’s so much creativity in how she manifests each theme into the instrumentals. Like in ‘Angel Jophiel (Angel of Illumination)’ and ‘Angel Uriel (Angel of Truth)’, Karen curates the melody with vivid thematic accents. As abstract as they may seem, they are infused with an emotion that will lead you to the theme.

‘Angel Raphael (Angel of Healing)’ has a meditative aura, a calming stillness, followed by a lush full feeling. This plane is shared by ‘Angel Chamuel (Angel of Peace)’ with its nimble melodic formations and slight rhythms. And just like this, each track so beautifully carves out the idea both evocatively and cerebrally. Listen Now!
