Joshua Pearlstein’s ‘endorphins’ : An Alternative Pop Bloom

Joshua Pearlstein has a budding streak for originality. He reimagines pop as a confluence with R&B, soul, cloud hop, funk, and electronica. The soundscapes are driving expositions of everything that pop can be, each track unpacking a new perspective and interpretation of the genre. In a world where most things seem to be done, Joshua is out here casting his sonic spells.

In ‘endorphins’ he crafts a lo-fi rhythmic pop track. Bobbing with trap hop beats, a rolling vocal autotune and electronic grooves, the atmosphere is charged with the innovative atmospheres of artists like Daft Punk and Tame Impala. But there’s also hooky pop references to bands like Maroon 5 and Justin Timberlake. The theme manifests in frames, some hypnotic, electronica driven flashes before being bolstered with poppy, feel-good accents. There’s dance, cerebral flows, fun, and concept. Listen Now!
