Jeff Vidov’s ‘Oh mi da dey di’ : A Sonic Tiramisu

Jeff Vidov is a Canadian composer and pianist. Having won many accolades in the classical music sphere, the artist has now diverged into pop-rock. Think Phil Collins, Elton John, and A Great Big World. His track, ‘Oh mi da dey di’, rings with the feel-good 80s influences that are associated with these artists : Hearty and anthemic vocals combined with brimming instrumentals.

Catchy hooks shimmering with synths and atmospheric riffs. The artist infuses orchestral structures also into the track. We see its expansive, cinematic presence in the bridge, lighting up the vocals. Add to this a layer of vibrant ripples of bubbles of synths, pressing against the many layers of rock, pop, orchestra, and vocals. It is a fantastic tiramisu, juicy with melody, details, patterns and textures all across the board. Listen Now!
