Belouis Some Revitalizes ‘Imagination’ with Fantastic Interpretations

Belouis Some pop style is eclectic and dynamic, a groovy power house full of visuals, color, and sonic sensibilities. He rose to fame in the 1980 with his singles, ‘Some People’, ‘Round, Round’, and ‘Imagination’. These tracks were a celebration of the 80s decade and all the music that it came with. And Belouis’s ability to bring them together and elevate them with creativity, energy, and imaginative production is what drove him to fame, almost instantly. The artist has just released his reimagined versions of ‘Imagination’. The collection juxtaposes the original version alongside its orchestral version, and extended version. Cast in explorative soundscapes, each presents a spectacular interpretation, and even nurtures its context a little bit more.

‘Imagination (1980s Original Version)’ is a funk/ disco pop track with whimsical rhythms and melodies that inspire dance, trance, and fun. The soundscape is active and ever-evolving. He explores jazz, synthwave, and synth pop against the groovy disco funk backdrop. The hooks land and catch on till they’ve earwormed into the listener. This is paired with an Extended Version. Marked by punching beats resonant echoes, shimmering synths, and carrying harmonies, it feels both retro and futuristic.

Now, the ‘Imagination (Orchestral Version)’ works in a more continuous, seamless, and softer synth plane. This breeze encompasses the rest of the soundscape, casting a dramatic, almost cinematic effect on the track. In this setting, you’ll realize how versatile the vocals were conceived to be when the original version was released. They blend into this ethos without a beat, in fact elevating it in so many ways. And the ‘Extended Orchestral Version’ puts a beautiful instrumental solo in the end, elongated and full of beats, melody, and grooves, it wraps up the track quite nicely. There’s trippy synth plays and scattering patterns that grab the mind in the best way. Listen Now!
