Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends’ ‘About Love’ is a Vintage Folk-Rock Bloom

Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends is a solo rock project, fleshing out blues, folk-rock, rock n roll with novel soundscape designs and resonant sentiments. Emerging from the Swedish band, Redmoon, this banner was founded in 2020 and introduced with a self-titled double single the next year (2021). With the sophomore album, ‘No Sweets for E.’, the project’s sound is further distilled with beautiful prisms of folk rock. Taken from this collection are the memorable blooms of ‘About Love’. The track is textured with woeful acoustic rock strings. Reinforced by the deep sentiment of the baritones, it is a melancholic paradise. You can instantly see the influences of vintage artists like The Beatles, Neil Young, and Nick Drake. And in the chorus, the rise in vocal chroma and instrumental tonality is reminiscent of Freddy Mercury’s evocative vocal delivery. And listening to these molten undulations, we sail into a dazy sphere of 70s folk-rock nostalgia.
