Song Review/ Synth Pop : Claudia Balla’s ‘Normal People’

Claudia Balla demonstrates her scintillating alt pop with her new single, ‘Normal People’. The track is bright, glamorous and full of groove. In contrast to the stark and ethereal album, ‘Winter Tale’, this track forms with contemporary features, youthful and fun. But there’s also contemplative elements that come alive in the dance beats, splashing synths, and edgy rhythms.

The track is about feeling like an outsider, in the context of loving someone. The protagonist’s passion is so deep and irrevocable that she can’t behave like it doesn’t matter. Like others do. And despite the color and dynamic atmosphere, you can spot the lonely undertones, its subtle darkness creeping into the rest of the details. It’s a sophisticated creation, seamless in design, and full of stylistic clarity. And towards the end, it mellows down to a lo-fi flow, in a way that is reminiscent of Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter. Listen Now!
