Song Review/ Rock n Roll : Shyfrin Alliance’s ‘Lock Down’

The style and charisma of Shyfrin Alliance’s blues is not something you can ever get enough of. It is retro, but edgy; an interpretation of blues that plays into rock n roll, garage rock, funk power and other dynamic elements. Like in his single, ‘Lockdown’, he transforms the atmosphere with rolling variations of these genres and stylistic elements. It is dressed with accessories of danger, mystery, power, and adventure. Each moment is an exercise in mastery, as the artist explores these themes in relevance to the others.

The track starts with a strong beat, bass, and riff action; with the melody line introducing the story. As an instrumental (with sparing vocal action), you can pretty much make it, mold it into what you want. The coarse power of garage rock is built into the uninterrupted flow of a rock n roll rhythm. And through this, with nuanced melodic lines, a track for blues is paved. It is hardcore, classic, cinematic. We see the 70s, 80s, 90s, and even the 2000s across the track. And the more you listen, the more you uncover.
