Song Review/ Rock Blues : Rotor Delta’s ‘Summer Days are Never the Same’

When you listen to Rotor Delta, you can’t help but feel glassy and glazed by the dreamy melodies and sunset warm textures. The artist channels a retro, nostalgic folk rock aesthetic, lifting it into indie rock planes with an evasive touch of psychedelics. It is the banner of singer-songwriter, Jimmy Green. In his latest single, ‘Summer Days are Never the Same’, the artist traces the magical summers of his childhood and contrasts it to his adult ones. Touching mainly on his summer loves which he elevates with nostalgia.

The soundscape, dripping in pink and yellow hues, with dainty rings of acoustics around it is quite enjoyable. His vocals bring a rustic Bob Dylanesque charm while the instrumentals are a lush mixture of The Beatles and The Smiths. This particular pallet is so rare, especially in this time and century because it both unearths the past and flows momentously. It is smooth, creative, and so fresh. Listen Now!
