Song Review/ Punk Electronica : 9 ‘o’ clock Nasty’s ‘Too Cool’ (EQ Remix)

9 ‘o’ clock Nasty has long since established their chaotic funk style, brimming with unconventional glamor, new ideas, and novelty rock. Their latest release is the EQ Remix version of their track, ‘Too Cool’. The track is dressed in a 90s hip-hop accents and accessories that nicely carries into the theme. The beats are dynamic and accelerated and there’s that record rewinding sounds and school-bells in the backdrop to vitalise the ambience. And of course, there is the band’s distinguished vocal style that adds a layer of action and drama.

EQ also seemingly borrows from industrial stylings like aggressive avant garde fusions, electronic noise samples, and distorted background vocals. That quality of shock that is usually associated with the genre, is nicely meshed in with the rest of the bizzare-aligned elements. It is quite the absurd spectrum, seemingly random but thoroughly enjoyable. Listen Now!

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
