Song Review/ Neo-Soul : LTB’s ‘Fate’

LTB is a new-age R&B and neo-soul artist with remarkable whimsy. The artist’s music blends the abstract elements of FKJ with the brilliant sonic intentions of Tom Misch, finally elevating it with his deep, sonorous vocal style. His latest release is ‘Fate’, a track in which he creates subtle, but multiple layers within the soundscape, perhaps to represent the nature of Fate itself.

There is that twinkling horizon of ambient synths, the funk tinged, jazz melody motifs, the hip-hop beats, spoken word verses, all pooling into the artist’s extending vocals. Rippling garlands of melody and ethereal synths form evolving backdrops to experience the resounding baritones. It’s like when you shift your focus, you’re caught by another scene, another accent, another detail. Much like a detailed painting. All you have to do is look for it. And it all gains more profundity when you align it with the theme. Listen Now!
