Song Review/ Instrumental : Hilgrove Kenrick & Sam Watts’ ‘Mirror’

Hilgrove Kenrick is a sonic painter. A scenic, landscape creator. The ambiences that he crafts have such a deep soul, a profound presence that carries meaning and emotion within it. Like a river, he meanders through forests of thought and contemplation. And what he finds always has a simple grandeur to it. A thread which if you pull on will keep on giving, expanding, and opening up. His latest release is ‘Mirror’ featuring and co written by Sam Watts. The piano composition has a dulcet feel to it, glimmering ever so slightly, sparkling, and softly luminescent. Perhaps this alludes to the theme in a way. It makes you think of liquid glass with something altogether magical on the other side of it.

There are moments of stillness leading to clarity, to bubbles of epiphany that brings you closer to yourself. That beauty that you perceive in his landscape resonates with your own inner landscape. It spreads, a light floating awareness, on the wings of the vocal harmonies and hums into you. And just like that, you see yourself, the miracle that you are, the expansive nature of your presence and existence. Listen Now!

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
