Song Review/ Christmas Song : Downtown Patriots’ ‘Angels in the Snow’

Downtown Patriots is the passion project of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Danny Watts. The artist’s love for music is marked by a passion for exploration and diversity. And you’ll see that spirit embodied in his discography. Starting from his beloved 90s grunge spheres, you can see the textural journey span into eccentric electro rock mutations, groovy rock, to more softer styles like rustic folk (acoustic) rock and blues.

His latest release is ‘Angels in the Snow’, a Christmas-themed song that collects festive imagery and fuses it with nostalgic sentiments and a warm feeling of homecoming. There is a deliberate southern country tinge, with the banjos and the curving baritones. All of it encounters a rewarding and rich burst in the chorus. Paired with the frame of two people laughing and creating snow angels, it doesn’t get better than that. Listen Now!
