Single Review : Rick Lee Vinson Group’s ‘Look At It Sideways 4PaBlo’

Rick Lee Vinson Group makes soul food. Their music is an elaborate painting with measured acoustics, detailing grooves, expressive vocals, and a progressing story. Their interpretation of folk rock is fluid, a medium to create experiences and foster the emotions within to a deeper, more universal level. We see folk rock playing into moments of lofi surrealism, jazz and winking blues.

Like in their latest release, ‘Look At It Sideways 4PaBLo’, where they explore an intimate scene, carving out delightful perspectives with lyrical ambiguity. He creates vivid imagery, short snippets like in an indie movie - like “looked at human feet”, “red lips pointing at me”, “four eyes staring at me”, etc; allowing the listener to fathom what his mind will. Even the production technique is unique, a fitting style to suit the free and fluid essence of the composition. Listen Now!
