Single Review : Hana Piranha’s ‘I Wanna Leave’

The pop-punk soundscapes of Hana Piranha is not something that you can forget in a hurry. With a grungy aftermath, unrelenting hard rock pursuance and experimental structures, her tracks bloom with a new significance. Her latest is ‘I Wanna Leave’ a genre-bending composition with a promiscuous rhythm design. With a seamless shift in the driving bass groove, the whole soundscape metamorphosizes, riffs, beats and all. Listeners of Paramore are sure to enjoy the work of this artist.

The track has a defiant atmosphere which is progressively intensified with haunting imagery, mystery, and lyrical themes. A feeling of being trapped in an upside-down world. An abandoned carnival. Using an interplay of light and dark textures, the soundscape is full of deceptive shadows. Hana’s hardcore rock vocals are broken up by strident riff structures into rhythmic verse anthems. You can’t help but marvel at the gritty, yet glamorous formations. Between the chaos and asymmetry, a symmetrical anthem brings the protagonist back to the lively scene.
