There’s so much inflection and expression, all rooted in a blues romance as they sway into the composition. As it forms on the fringes of blues, ballads, jazz, and soul, it is reminiscent of the dreamy scores of La La Land. In moments of contrast, low baritonal flows ground the dazing sopranos, nicely reconciling in the climax for a satisfying octave play. It is classic, enchanting, sensual, and beautifully melodic.
