Sansyou’s ‘Due South Pacific’ : A Shimmering Post Rock Atmosphere

Sansyou displays life and emotional experiences as ambient spreads that carry on expansively. It is mellow and leveled with the instrumentals forming momentously; almost as if they are speaking a language. There are so many intricacies and complexity that unravel as you travel through it. ‘Spaces in Between’ is Sansyou’s  latest EP in which they explore contemplative frames that meditate on the self, extending it to the spaces that form in and around that sense of self.

‘Due South Pacific’ is taken from this collection. It flows with instrumental abstractions in the style of creative post rock. The vocals float above this layer, glassy and as fluid as air; so light that its presence is so beautifully bare. The best way to enjoy the track is by allowing yourself to be immersed by its shimmering depths, swimming through it at an explorative pace. Listen Now!

The EP features Kelli Miyahira of Natto Princess (vocals), with David Nicholas (guitars) and Kellii Scott of Failure (drums) plus the multi-faceted contributions from producer Jarrett Nicolay (bass, keys, drums).
