The rich valves of Porter’s progressive alt rock are all set to be unleashed in their upcoming album, ‘Genosha’. It establishes a new way of thinking and emoting about things. The first single from the album, ‘Tax Free Hollows’ was released late last year (2023). The track is marked with berserk proportions. A mad spray of riffs is bolstered with lightning bolt beats and intense bass lines. It is extrapolated to showcase the nightmare of perpetual diplomatic discussion in lieu of taking action on substantive issues. They confront the maddening frivolity of bureaucratic pretense and indifference and invite the listener to contemplate on their aspirations for society.
Since its release, they have reinforced its impact with another single titled ‘Behind the Banlieu’. And together, it has drummed up incredible anticipation for what they will reveal next. Porter has a prog rock gusto that hasn’t been seen since Genesis and King Crimson.
