Music Review : Kelsie Kimberlin’s ‘We Are The Promise’

Kelsie Kimberlin has been on a warpath with her music, forging rebellion and revelations, edging her art with sharp critique and raw emotion. The Ukrainian-American artist has oriented her last couple of releases to speak out about the unjust war raging in her homeland of Ukraine.

In ‘Another Chance To Live Again’ she inflates her listeners with pure-spirited empathy as she sings in pain about the grievous loss and deaths of the war. In ‘Vlad’ she adopts a caustic hip-hop tongue as she slams Putin for his tyrannical policies and war crimes.

In this latest track, ‘We Are The Promise’ she rallies the people and their power with a revolutionary anthem; A war cry to reclaim democracy, freedom, and liberty.

The track is bolstered with powerful beats and warning instrumental sagas. Orchestral arrangements are infused with hostile rock fixtures/ solos and formidable vocals. As much as the track is an ominous warning, it is also a manifestation of peace and restitution. The antagonistic frames of orchestral rock is briefly set off by an oasis of frolicking melodies and pristine glass vocals. “Everything’s alright, we’re gonna make it okay”. Listen Now!

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
