Javi Carabalí’s ‘Tripletazo #2 Con Tu Amor’ : A Latin Dance Pop Bananza

Javi Carabalí is a Latin artist, singer-songwriter, guitarist, and poet. His music is touched by all these aspects of his personality, flowing with the fluidity of his many artisteries. Inspired by classic and contemporary musicians like Carlos Santana, Juan Luis Guerra, Bob Marley, Sean Paul, The Fugees, Nas, The Roots, Coldplay, 3 Doors Down, Creed, Boyz II Men, and Musiq Soulchild, the artist freely roams the spectrum of the old and the new, exploring diverse musical cultures simultaneously. So you’ll see blues, reggae, rock, soul, Latin pop, dance music, and everything in between. His latest release is the ‘Tripletazo #2 Con Tu Amor’, a three track EP that follows the release of its first installment, ‘Tripletazo #1 Tú Sin Mí’.

Across the three tracks, you’ll experience a rich variance, so intricately strung and spun together. The rhythms have an enriching flow, the vocals are smooth and mercurial winds swirling around the rhythm, catching the beat and tapping into the emotion. ‘Con Tu Amor’ featuring Laoma Chavaco is a mellow, reggae spruced, dream pop speckled, Latin timed flow. The conception and production is quite refreshing, especially in the way that meshes the traditional, regional and cultural with the modern, experimental, and innovative. It’s like world music with an enriching cultural influx.

‘Primavera’ is up next, featuring Lalie. The track is immersed in blues; moody, sensual, and full of evocative sensibilities. The wiry guitar accents add a nice dimension, creating a contrast. Earthy beats, a Latin dance groove blended with the twinkling blues will take you right back to the era of Carlos Santana. A celebration of everything sentimental, nostalgic and essential about Latin blues.

Lastly, ‘Gris’, a track that traverses the 80s and 90s, making an entrance out of the 2000s Latin pop tunnel. You’ll see influences of Enrique, Sean Paul, leading into an enjoyable Shakira, Maluma, and Luis Fonzi type of groove. The dance driven groove is mellow, the vocals curve with feeling, and the melodies roll off the soundscape like a smooth dance move.

Each song is its own vibe, its own world, and stylistic exploration. While it ties back to a familiar frame or artist, it grows and evolves into a sonic richness of its own. Listen Now!
