HERDS’ ‘Just the Rain’ : A Dazing Splatter of Psychedelic-Americana

HERDS is a Nottingham UK based alt rock band formed out of the former psych rock band, ‘Amber Herd’. The gang has always been an imaginative bunch, exploring cerebral spaces to present them with visceral candor. After a revamp and a stylistic tweak, the band widened their sonic horizon as HERDS. Rolling rustic americana textures with brimming psychedelic sensibilities and abstractness of prog rock, they have claimed a sound that is distinctively theirs.

Their debut album, ‘Falling Wide Awake’ introduces this incredible range with powerful sonic themes and fixtures. Taken from this collection is ‘Just the Rain’. It brings buoyancy to melancholy. The dazing splatter of melodies, fuzzy riffs, and sublime vocal miasma are energized with layered rhythms and dynamic beats. This set up juxtaposes a sense of idyllic staticity with alt rock momentum. Listen Now!

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
