George Bolton’s Transcendental Projects an Electric Alt Pop Simulation in ‘Triumph’

Much like his banner suggests, George Bolton’s Transcendental is a project that carves out a plane, a medium through which you can achieve cerebral transcendence. The electronic music artist and producer has such meta ideas and progressive visions that you’ll stand astounded. Blending alien sonic patterns and arcs with mellow contrasts and dazing quotients, he fathoms a whole new type of sonic craft. His work is informed by hip-hop and trap; befalling rhythms in ways that help him multiply the effect of his melodic blueprints.

George Bolton’s Transcendental has just released a thirteen-track album, ‘Triumph’, one that not only reinforces his sophisticated premise but takes it to the next level. The collection travels through an expanse, like a voyager, unearthing vivid sensibilities and vibrant visuals. Listen Now!

The album is opened by the title track. With a chaos underlined with dynamic symmetries, the bright electronic ripple passes through the listener like the chilly air of autumn. It drives up the goosebumps and gives you that nice shake. It is then followed up by a dream pop, daze textured, hip-hop beat atmosphere that is subtle and stimulating at the same time.

In tracks like ‘Glorious’, ‘Where Are We?’ and ‘Hold On’ we see a whole different type of energy dynamism. One that is designed to generate and sustain itself across the board. These tracks are vibrant threads of music with flattering and flying rhythm molds. You can’t help but become wrapped up in its lightness.

Then there’s the ambient cluster, the collection that allows you to sink a little deeper and immerse yourself in the intricacies of Bolton’s universes. Starting at ‘Summertime’, it expands and evolves through tracks like ‘Arp Angel’, ‘Echo’, ‘XRD1’ and ‘Night Skyline’. They all shimmer with the dark and shadow sensibilities, sparking with light textures and their subtle variants.

In ‘Water Sprite’, there’s a fun electronic dance music interpretation that is upping and feel good. It is so fun to elevate and play around with. Its motifs are replicated in ‘All You Need’, accentuated by the transient slips of the ambient cluster. A nice segue to the lofi crescendance of the final sonic scene. Listen Now!
