Flat Moon’s ‘A Moon’s Bouce’ : A Funk Driven Alt Rock

Sonic absurdity. That’s what the Flat Moon group strives for. With funk as their leading God, they stray freely, liberated from the bounds of genres and styles; creating intuitive chaos and enjoyably bizzare soundscapes. When you listen to them, their spirit seems to readily pass on to the listener, floating ribbons of whimsy and fun absurdities. Their latest release is ‘A Moon’s Bouche’, a track that carries into frames reminiscent of Michael Jackson, Prince, David Bowie, and Panic! At The Disco.

They color out of the lines. Funk bouncing off walls of rock, blues, rock n roll, and disco pop. Imagine a room with rippling walls, vivid color transitions, and dance floors. We see Latin pop influences, merged with distorted blues and funk accents. It is dynamic, novel, and experimental. A drop of hat. Then, a free flowing velvet jazz ambience. It wouldn’t make sense anywhere else, in any other context than the one that Flat Moon curates. Listen Now!
