Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends’s ‘Summer Kisses, Winter Tears’ is a Seasonal Folk Manifesto

Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends is a solo folk-rock banner emerging out of the Swedish band Redmoon. It strives to revive the contemplative core of 60s and 70s folk-rock whilst simultaneously shaping it with the modernity of 00s indie rock. Each time you listen to one of their tracks, you’ll be drawn into a dazing world of idyllic melodies, calming rhythms and the essence of human connections. This banner debuted in 2020 and has since released an enchanting array of singles and two LPs : ‘17 Birds at the Summer’s Gate’ and ‘No Sweets for E’. You’ll see imprints of The Beatles and Nick Drake, Neil Young and Joni Mitchell, Simon & Garfunkel.

This article delves into the melancholic flows of ‘Summer Kisses, Winter Tears’ to briefly encapsulate the complexity captured in their sophomore LP. The track is strung with resonant acoustics that curve and linger with bluesy aftermaths. Gossamer neo-classical breezes drift past these lines, picking up and passing on their luminosity to the next frame. Lyrically, the artist explores the brevity of seasonal pleasures, comparing the lilting variations of summers and winters to the undulations of human life. Charmed with nostalgia and beautiful metaphorical imagery, it is like a poem coming to life. Listen Now!
