The album opens with the title track. Screen of synths carry glinting lights of guitar strings and soft vocals. It is a mellow exposition, delivering the sweetness of intimacy and love. The texture of synths have a retro quality to it, which is reinforced later in the track with violin interludes and the like.

Tracks like ‘Jail Keeper Eyes’, ‘Is This What You Call Love’ and ‘Questions’ bring affecting frames of passion. In a simple atmosphere of acoustics and synths, Stuart’s vocal performance is a shining orb of emotion. With soft inflections of passion and spilling woes, each of these tracks are highly evocative; reminiscent of artists like Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Hank Williams.

‘Tanuja’ is especially a favorite. Its alt-folk flavor blossoms out of bare instrumentals and mellow vocal slants. There’s a whole lot of blues that form like mirages across the track that is very enjoyable to catch mid-melody.

‘To the Limit’, ‘Screaming Blue Murder’ and ‘Avoiding Traffic Jams’ are luminous rock tracks. Resonant with blues rock and soul accents, they are very well-delivered. The guitar work is so attuned with the vocal sentiment that they are both extensions of each other. You can instantly see the influences of The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and Billy Joel in these tracks.

The album makes a great addition to the indie-rock sphere. Marked by facets like vulnerability, authenticity, and vocational passion, every track illustrates the artist’s joy for songwriting and performing.
