RHEIN Celebrates Fluidity With Dreamy Post-Rock in ‘Moe’

RHEIN is the dream child of singer-songwriter and rock artist, Reinier van den Haak. Reinier is a psychologist by profession. He founded this outfit to reach places in the mind that he couldn’t attain or articulate with science. The banner celebrates fluidity with intuitive sonic structures and ambient textures. His latest track, ‘Moe’ takes on a post-rock ambience, drawn out with melancholic baritones and bluesy quotients. Listen Now!

On the face of it, it might play off as a simple and straightforward composition. In concept, however, it is far from it. The track is a melancholic drawl that is canvassed by hypnotic and sedating timbres. Listening to it feels like we are falling in and out of sleep. It forms in the world between wakefulness and slumber, where everything is foggy, but there’s a delusion of clarity. With a measured percussive motif, he maintains this warm flush of unreality, and has us nodding off into infinity.
